Drawing the line:
to know at what point an activity or situation stops being reasonable and starts to be unacceptable
If you draw the line at a particular activity, you refuse to do it, because you disapprove of it or because it is more extreme than what you normally do and this is how I am feeling with the current world situation where pollution and destruction prevails each day. I want to draw the line, step off /stop the racing decline of species.
This project started whilst finding my way by trusting and following painted lines on tree trunks in the woods above Baden in 2021. It has lead me to now ask the question – where do you draw the line?

Chris Bird-Jones was artist in residence in Baden in Autumn 2021 alongside her exhibition #weseethembytheirshadows KunstVerein Baden, Austria (with Katarina Gruzei). The developed work from this initial exploration will form the basis of her presentation. The work will include chalk line drawings on the floor and ceiling, print and projection. Chris will work on her installation in the Project Space from August 28th.
