Women’s International Glass Workshop

The Women’s International Glass Workshop is a group of contemporary glass artists who come together to exhibit and experience host countries around the world. Meetings have taken place in Iceland, Wales, Ireland, Austria, Japan, Canada, USA, New Zealand and Australia.

In 2008, the Workshop celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a major touring exhibition, ‘Gathering Light’, in Liverpool, Chartres, and Swansea.

Bird-Jones & Heald

Chris Bird-Jones has been collaborating with Karen Heald, a visual artist and researcher working with film, installation and performance, since 2005. Collectively they are known as Bird-Jones and Heald, and are based in Wales.

Their collaborative process is conceptually driven through research, often in response to specific sites, culminating in a diverse and vital practice.
